Rotating Equipment Engineer

You will play a meaningful role in ensuring our fleet works to its best capability, keeping the lights on and our customers happy!

You will be responsible for providing technical support expertise for gas turbine products to our customers, supporting multiple product lines across our various Product Competency Centres (PCC's). You will be an excellent communicator able to analyse complex problems and provide professional guidance in the resolution of issues.

Travel will be required to provide on-site technical support to internal and external customers and Field Engineers.

This is your role. What part will you play?

·  Working closely with the customer and liaising with colleagues at other sites to resolve customer issues and track and deliver technical solutions.
·  Support technical queries, including parts identification and deliver procedural advice
·  Analyse failure data to identify reoccurring events / patterns. Make recommendations and prepare failure reports.
·  Prepare for and support customer technical reviews and contract meetings.
·  Assist Project Manager in creation of work packs for planned and unscheduled maintenance including method statements, tooling and spare parts requirements

·  Liaise with customer to ensure that documentation for work permits is available in advance.
·  Review daily logs and liaise with Field Service Engineers whilst work is in progress to resolve any queries.
·  Review work instructions and recommended improvements for future workscopes based on bulletins and previous field reports.
·  Maintain and analyse reliability and availability data. Review monitoring reports to identify trends and make recommendations.
·  Periodic trips (including offshore) to customer sites to collect data, review procedures, perform site surveys and undertake troubleshooting activities.

What you need to make real what matters

·  Experience of the operation and maintenance of gas turbines.
·  A knowledge and understanding of root cause analysis, vibration analysis, performance and operation.
·  Ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
·  Competent in use of a range of PLC control systems and HMIs.
·  Understanding of both sequence and scheduling for safe operation.
·  Degree qualified or equivalent experience in a suitable Engineering discipline.
