Transmission and Distribution Regional/Area Sales Manager

Boston, MA

Are you looking for a dynamic opportunity with a global technology leader that continually drives innovation within the Energy industry? Siemens Energy Inc. is currently searching for a sales team member to be based in Braintree, MA. As part of the Transmission & Distribution sales team you will have an exciting opportunity to work with the major players in the energy industry from large scale power plant projects and smart grid applications to state-of-the art transmission and distribution solutions.This position is being considered for multiple job levels, depending on experience as outlined below.

Job Responsibilities:

· 
Provide Transmission & Distribution products and solutions sales coverage for the Northeast region.

· 
Serve as single point of contact to the customer/end user

· 
Develop and implement Siemens strategic efforts with Region agents

· 
Solution based selling to Utilities, Independent Power Producers, Developers and EPC's

· 
Lead commercial and technical negotiations

· 
Communicate with various levels of organization hierarchy

· 
Understand and follow electrical industry trends and competition

Required Knowledge/Skills, Experience, Education

· 
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or business-related field

· 
5+ years of industry-related experience in Transmission & Distribution products, marketing and/or factory experience.

· 
Candidates with 5-8 years of experience will be considered for a level 7 position.

· 
Candidates with 8-10 years of experience will be considered for a level 6 position.

· 
Candidates with 10+ years of experience will be considered for a level 5b position.

· 
5+ years of marketing/sales/engineering experience

· 
Strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and multi-tasking skills

· 
Ability to listen to clients, extrapolate relevant data, and generate a winning strategy

· 
Ability to effectively communicate and lead this defined strategy internally with multiple product lines in support of proposal responses and contract negotiations.

· 
Ability to travel 40-50% both domestically to customers and internationally to manufacturing locations in locations such as Mexico, Brazil, Germany, or Italy

· 
Flexibility in schedule needed to attend some evenings and/or weekend for customer events.

·

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Experience, Education:

· 
Experience with Siemens transmission, distribution and digital products

· 
Understanding of ISO's and RTO's

· 
Experience selling solutions
