Position Overview

Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire a Test Technician who is responsible for testing and validating final assemblies per test procedures to ensure compliance with design specifications and engineering drawings. We ensure product quality while maintaining a safe work environment as we work on transformers, switches, inverter cabinets and related wiring. Here, you will put your electrical skills to good use while working with engineers & resolving testing activities!

Responsibilities

·  Inspect, test, and adjust units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements per test procedure.
·  Read and interpret schematic/mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, or reports to determine materials and test requirements.
·  Clean up working areas, testing tools, conduct 6S audits and safety walks.
·  Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data from all relevant sources.

Knowledge

·  Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications in a manufacturing environment.
·  Knowledge of environmental health and safety laws and procedures.
·  Knowledge of product, workmanship standards, and test procedures.
·  Basic knowledge of computer software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel for report completion.
·  Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, test processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for improving the effective testing of products.
·  Knowledge of basic lean principles and techniques for optimizing processes and eliminating waste.

Education and Experience

·  Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical with Vocational Certification in related field
·  Apprenticeship Certification with two years of work experience in related field.
