We are currently seeking an Assistant U.S. Controller who will report to the U.S. Controller as part of our dynamic team in Secaucus.

How you will contribute

·  Support the U.S. Controller in analyzing the business activity, trends, KPI’s and drivers of business profitability
·  Prepare financial statements and management reports that give actionable insights to senior leadership
·  Identify areas of improvement and generate innovative ideas to increase process efficiencies 
·  Conduct monthly closings, GL reconciliation, and complete analysis on P&L and balance sheet accounts
·  Complete various analyses including sales and gross margin while also preparing ad hoc analyses as needed to support the business
·  Develop budgets and business forecasts within tight deadlines
·  Complete various analyses, “Fixed Assets” and “Rents”
·  Review and prepare accounting entries while providing guidance to staff on accounting-related matters
·  Navigate and master multiple accounting systems and sub-ledgers including but not limited to Lawson, Movex, JDA, Auditworks, Hyperion

Who you are

·  BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
·  Minimum of 5 years of experience in both FP & A and accounting
·  Display ingenuity in anticipating needs and adapting to changing situations
·  Demonstrate sound analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
·  Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills (look-ups, formulas, pivot tables, etc.), as well as other Microsoft Office programs
·  Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) system preferred
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Excels in a team-oriented environment and embraces feedback
·  Knowledge of the luxury/fashion market with exposure in retail and/or audit a plus
·  Knowledge of SAP and PBCS preferred
