Role Summary/Purpose

Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GEHC Target product development and manufacturing processes. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: updating engineering drawings, perform verification and validation of production processes, develop technical work instructions and Fabricate and manufacture prototype parts using CNC equipment, including milling, lathes and programming in Gcode.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Utilizing initiative and independent judgment, construct and assist in evaluating engineering models. 
·  Update engineering drawings / shop floor drawings using Solid Works. 
·  Perform Verification & Validation of production fixtures; conduct measurement of fixtures (cmm / coating / machine) and complete compliance documentation.
·  Develop (in conjunction with engineers and production associates) Standard Work Instructions (technical instruction) and Equipment Operating Instruction (technical equipment instructions). 
·  Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals. 
·  General direction is given in the execution of job related activities. 
·  Comply with EHS regulations and policies.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 
·  Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 
·  Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 
·  Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Design Controls Procedures in order to ensure that specified design requirements are met. 
·  Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records.  Required Qualifications: 

·  Currently enrolled in Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Industrial Technology program or similar. 
·  Proficient with Microsoft Office, word and excel. 
·  1 year Solid Works computer automated control experience. 
·  Ability to read and interpret blueprints.  
·  Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information 
·  Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired Characteristics

Preferred Qualifications:
• Enrolled in relevant manufacturing certificate program
• AutoCAD experience
• CNC Machining skills
• Ability to follow all safety rules and wear all PPE as required
• Ability to calculate figures, basic math and understanding of measuring and metrics
• Proven ability to use shop math, including trigonometry and geometry
• Ability and willingness to work multiple shift(s)
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts and weekends, as required
• Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Desire to take ownership and accountability in work and in company success
• Ability to work in a lean and fast-paced environment
• Experience with general machining
• Mazatrol Program for CNC BONUS
• Experience with Fanuc Robotics
• Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information
• Demonstrate an ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology
• Ability to communicate using local language
