Danone Balclutha  is looking for a  Dispensary Technician  to join our onsite Production function – part of the wider manufacturing dairy industry located in Balclutha. 

 

As a key member of the  Dispensary  team reporting to the Team Leader, you will be involved in various activities to organize key ingredients during your shift. You will be key to ensuring the safety of our people and specifically keeping the high quality of our products. You will be transferring, weighing and taking measurements of ingredients. Ensuring that the correct preparation is completed for the upcoming formulations. As key skills for this position is required accuracy, attention to detail is given to every stage of the process, minimizing any errors. At the same time, this role is the hose keeper of robust systems & procedures within dispensary operations, ensuring that all quality checks are met at all stages of the process. 

 

This is a  permanent full-time  position working  Sunday - Wednesday 6:30 am - 4:30pm. 

 

You will be:

·  Transfer of ingredients by using equipment correctly to take accurate measurements
·  Controlling, checking and monitoring of equipment to ensure the accuracy of your work
·  Able to work efficiently while maintaining quality & safety
·  Communicate effectively with all teams to drive improvements and standardisation across teams on site
·  Actively ensure the production team and equipment contributes to a safe environment for all personnel by adhering to and promoting our WISE Health & Safety principles.
·  Co-ordinate stock levels in dispensary with the warehouse and request stock from ports where required. Ensure full compliance with documentation systems associated with dispensary operations.

About you

You will have a background and experience of a minimum of three years in a manufacturing environment. Ideal  tertiary qualification in Chemistry/Microbiology/Science  or equivalent. 

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

·  Food/dairy  hygiene control knowledge
·  Computer literacy  in Excel & Word is desired.
·  Knowledge of  HACCP  principles is preferable.
·  Ability to be a  strong team player work collaboratively  with others within the team and across the business
·  Good attention to detail. Strong  planning organisational  and  communication skills
·  Excellent  operational focus  with  time management  and  prioritisation  skills
·  A  problem-solving mindset , and ability to deliver results in a time-constraint environment
