We are looking for a Transactional and Tax Accountant (m/f) based in Madrid. 

  

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

· 
Support the continuous development and optimization of accounting processes in cooperation with various departments 

· 
Participate in projects within the finance department 

· 
Prepare regular cash, receivable / payable and other account reconciliations and related journal entries in SAP 

· 
Provide guidance on processing payments by receiving, verifying, and reconciling invoices in SAP 

· 
Support in the regular declaration of international insurance and fire protection taxes, VAT and other levies  

· 
Reconciliation of insurance tax, VAT and suspense accounts in SAP and feeder systems incl. clarification of open items and balance adjustment  

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

· 
Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or other finance related subjects and/or comparable professional experience 

· 
Analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret complex data and processes 

· 
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Database skills to analyze and present data in a compelling way to a variety of stakeholders 

· 
You are data driven and innovation minded  

· 
Ideally, first professional experience in the financial services industry, preferably P&C insurance or reinsurance 

· 
Good communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a professional, international working environment 

· 
Fluent in English and Spanish
