Job Description

A vacancy for a project engineer for Innovative Propulsion System (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse Design Office.

You will join the Airbus engineering domain in charge of the propulsion system integration to the Aircraft .

In the frame of our projects, you will develop with us your skills and know-how applicable to propulsion system: heat management architecture and technologies, and associated development cycle from ideas incubation, simulation sizing phase to integration tests.

You will functionally report to the Head of Subdomain .

Priority will be given to employees whose position is impacted by a workforce adaptation initiative.

Tasks and Accountabilities:

Your main tasks will include:

Technical aspects:

·  Benchmark and/or propose technical solutions
·  Market research and intelligence
·  Preliminary design and solution  value assessment
·  Simulation Modeling/ Design/Prototyping/testing loop

Project aspects:

·  the coordination of the nacelle, engine, system manufacturers counterparts
·  the collaboration in plateau mode
·  the delivery of technical documentation.
·  The management of Intellectual Property
·  the lead of the related subcontracting activities;

As a teammate, you will be ask to build the future with us by participation to collective objectives addressing strategic roadmap, etc.

Your role will involve some travel (mainly France and Europe) for business so you may be asked to travel accordingly.

Required skills:

We are looking for candidates with the following experience:

·  Mandatory Experience in Hydrogen related industry and/or its use
·  Educated to an Engineering degree level (or equivalent)
·  Abilities to coordinate activities with suppliers, subcontractors
·  Feel at ease in an international environment
·  Creativity, pro-activity, autonomy
·  Team player
·  Skills in thermal simulation would be a plus
·  Skills in aerothermal, thermal or thermofluidic engineering would be a plus
·  Skills in component design, technology evaluation would be a plus
·  Skills in propulsion environment would be a plus
·  An advanced level of English is mandatory and an advanced level of French is desirable
