Job Description

The objective of the LMP (Laboratory for Materials and Processes) is to promote, develop and qualify new advanced materials and processes. The LMP is a transnational organization covering all types of materials used on our helicopters. We are located at Marignane, Donauwörth and Paris Le Bourget and run at all three sites our own laboratory to support our specialists. For this open position we a looking for an metal material engineer who would join our materials, heat treatment and tribology team inside the metal material department. Your main tasks will be - Define and manage research programs (internal and / or external to Airbus Helicopters) on new metallic materials taking into account the processes used to manufacture parts. - Qualify these new materials and treatments and develop the associated design offices and production documentation with standardization organization. - Participate in the design and production of technological Demonstrators. - Participate, in the framework of new developments, to the choice of the best materials in relation with the design office, production, quality, procurement and support services to meet the objectives of the group (safety, customer satisfaction, cost, performance) - Audit blank suppliers for gorging and foundry and supply chain for special processes - Support industrialization and manufacturing.
