A. Accountabilities

In the frame of development (New Product Introduction) and serial production phases, the job holder is accountable for:

- Implementing Procurement strategy defined by MFT PCS/PCY/POCE and ACOP (incl. supplier development)

- Assess suppliers during tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision if needed

- Manage/contribute to supply chain & quality aspects of the contract being responsible for n time, on Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance.

- Monitor or support new product introduction, ToW, changes, to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.

- Assess the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the Supplier development.

- Identify the supplier's industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.

- Work out short term recovery plans.

- Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects.

- Report on supplier operational performance

- Support on Audits and Assessment to the suppliers within the perimeter of scope.

- Follow up and monitor the actions plans related to the performed audits.

- Facilitate communication between NPI project team and Supplier.

- On site witness of action taken by the supplier to fulfil Airbus requirements.

C. Main activities

In the frame of development (New Product Introduction) and serial production phases, the job holder operates following main airbus business processes.

Act as an expert and in that sense his management will delegate to him full management of complex quality and delivery activities

Details on activities and roles are provided in the corresponding governance & procedural documentation.

Details on work sharing between organisation functions, roles and responsibilities are provided in a matrix (cf. Function Organisational Manual when available).

Contribute to Engage Suppliers (SO.ES)

·  Contribute to feedback on Sub-Commodity strategy recommendation
·  Contribute to contract-related matters, including the cascade of industrial and compliance requirements
·  Contribute to Change Request evaluation
·  Contribute to deployment of SC&Q standards, methods & tools (APQP, AirSupply, eConcessions,…)
·  Contribute to supplier contract/claims management (incl. evolution of requirements, processes, tools)

Secure Supplier Approval and Run Supplier Control Review (SO.CS.02.01)

·  Assess, pronounce supplier approvability/approval (including ICOP scheme) and perform SCR
·  Contribute to supplier segmentation, identify development needs

While remaining accountable, the job holder can delegate after his management validation complex/critical quality topics management (described in the two next chapters ‘SO.CS.02.02’ & ’.03’) to SCQS and SDM.

Manage Couple Compliance and Maturity (SO.CS.02.02)

·  Manage couple surveillance decision tree and associated couple surveillance plan

- Collect inputs, strategy and SC&Q objectives for the product (or family)

- Establish, share and archive surveillance decision tree (cf. Appendix A of A2135.2_B or APQP decision

tree), and initiate correspondingly risks portfolio

- Establish, share surveillance plan and seek decision from management

·  Verify Compliance to applicable requirements and secure convergence to industrial Maturity target (supplier capability & capacity)

Manage Manufacturing Non Conformance (MC.QU.02)

D. Outputs

Feedback done on Sub-Commodity strategy recommendation

● Contribution to BFE Offer Risk Analysis

● Contribution to contract setup and maintenance is provided (ARL, cADL consolidated, any SC&Q input when requested)

● The suppliers are approved

● SCR performed on time, planning and reports are loaded in ARP

● Couple surveillance decision tree and plan are shared with management and loaded in ARP (ie. NSPI, WidePFIS when deployed)

● Corresponding risks portfolio available, relevant risks loaded and kept up-to-date in ARM tool

● Supplier development is managed with adequate expertise

● Couples are monitored in terms of Compliance to applicable requirements and Maturity (ie. Supplier’s capability and capacity converges to Airbus defined target) as per surveillance plan

● Couple Compliance and Maturity status is recorded in ARP/NSPI/WidePFIS when deployed

● Root causes of Quality issues are identified and eradicated (corrective action effectiveness are checked).

● Any deviation to the defined industrial target (cf. compliance, capability, capacity, overall performance) as per

surveillance plan is reported to stakeholders via the relevant means: Cockpit, Dashboard, 5 boxes, project/mission/plan progress status, Escalation, Top Quality Issue, Hotspot, Watchtower predictive alert, SAA late action

● Quality issues are resolved

● Delivery plan is adhered to

● SAA databases are kept up-to-date (C-SAAM, SMP, ICSIS, SAA planning…)
