Job Description

A great opportunity for a Flight Control and Auto Pilot Systems V&V Coordinator (m/f) has arisen in Airbus Toulouse.

Being part of Airbus Engineering Design Office, you will integrate a team composed of around 15 people, it is part of the Integration department of the Flight Control System domain, as such all the activities of this group are covering a transverse scope of activities.

The group is responsible for the certification activities of the Auto-Flight System (ATA22) and Flight Control System (ATA27). It is also responsible of organizing and coordinating the verification and validation activities of the domain through V&V coordinators. You will join the 4 coordinators.

With a central position during a development, you will exchange with many different groups within the domain (from system designers to modelling team,) and beyond (Programs, Certification Authorities).

You will be responsible to define and coordinate the V&V activities of Aircraft control systems (Auto-flight ATA22, Flight Control ATA27) on one or several programs (depending on profile and experience the main targets are A320 and A380 programs).

As Verification and Validation Coordinator (V&V Coordinator), your main missions are the following :

• From the Airbus directives, define the V&V strategy with the designers, the DCS (Designated Certification Specialist), the laboratory, and the flight tests teams at the beginning of the project (which should lead to the delivery of a V&V Plan)

• Link the V&V strategy to the other Airbus initiatives/streams : Co-Development & Integration, MBSE, DDMS.

• Support negotiation with Certification Authorities on V&V Certification Requirement Item if needed

• Define/deploy tools and methods to support the V&V Plan and support the teams which will use them (from Requirement Based Engineering tool to Aircraft System simulation tools)

• Ensure Coordination of V&V activities covering integration with other Systems/Domains targeting an End-to-End integration

• Export the V&V Status to the Program for the business reviews and for the MG

• Release a V&V Summary for each milestone of a project, including for Certification

• Manage and follow some tests activities (flight control simulations) if applicable

• Impulse lessons learnt and future improvements for the V&V activities

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Aircraft knowledge : have an overall knowledge of the aircraft design since the role could imply some coordination outside Aircraft Control System domain
·  System Design and Development with a high focus on V&V processes and methods (V cycle, means of validation and verification, requirement based engineering, certification requirements)
·  Aircraft Control System Design (ATA22 Auto-Flight System and/or ATA27 Flight Control System )
·  Modelling and Simulation in relation with V&V (MBSE, flight control simulation means such as Ocasime)
