Description of the job

A vacancy for a DDMS - DMU (Digital Mock Up) Process Operator (m/f) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

As a child, you were passionate about building big ground-breaking constructions and, with time, you have associated to that passion a burning curiosity fulfilled through a strong aesthetic sense of digital gadgets? We would like to meet you!

The Engineering Airframe Center of Competence (CoC) is looking for someone ready to technically lead a progressive, but deep and extensive, revisiting of the processes and application used in the frame of our DMU Aircraft development and in-service DMU support in operations.

Embedded inside the DDMS (Digital Design, Manufacturing and Services) whole-scale Company project; with the challenge to move into a more integrated solution (tool chain and digital continuity) enabling a model based design solution (Co-design and simulation) at the heart of our Systems Engineering way of developing; with key effort to be done to integrate in a Digital Twins (physical and functional DMU):

- Transversally the technical disciplines associated to our Airframe Coc (Physical A/C), which are as wide as Airframe Architecture, Structure, ESI, MSI but also Systems Installations and overall Integration (Cabin perimeter included),   

- Vertically with our external stakeholders as: Engineering Systems and Flights Physics but also in an End to End vision within our Manufacturing and Support in Services requirements.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your deliverables will be DMU solutions oriented (processes evolutions, specifications, governances, policies, way of workings, awareness’s) in the frame of the first DDMS opportunity means to be able to propagate it in our future products in developments and within other programs.

As part of your role, you will work inside a multi-disciplinary team, so that you can make use of your enthusiasm, positive energy, can-do attitude and well respected communication and influence skills. You will show as how much you are able to emphasize a consistent global methodology to follow and a sound DMU spirit.

You feel at ease working beyond siglums and are able to establish strong and respectful work relationships with all business partners associated to your job.

You will be valued for your talent as entrepreneur, even if that means taking measured risks that in some cases lead to unwanted results that allow taking precious learnings for the future

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5 years diploma (or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineer or related disciplines,
·  A 15 years’ experience in the PLM domain including knowledge’s around the DMU usage in the aeronautical context, means the way to use it, the way to organize it, the way to deploy it,
·  A good and strategically overall vision in the perspective of the deployment, in the near future, of an “end to end continuous digital” process (considering the DMU as a key asset for the Company): within or without a new set of tools approach,
·  A Service and Development mind-set in a leadership/management behaviour,
·  A strong capacity to communicate and innovate (examples are welcomed),
·  A entrepreneurial skill in a transnational environment,
·  Team spirit with willingness to work for the collectivity,
·  Communications skills to present complex ideas to key stakeholders,
·  You resonate with values like Respect, Commitment, Integrity and Courage,
·  Having fun at work is a must for you!
·  Language skills: Negotiation level of English
