Occupational Summary:

Design coordination of seats and seat components. Coordinates changes with other internal company departments, vendors, and customers.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):

· Reviews specification as related to assigned job.
· Prepares check list.
· Prepares lay-outs.
· Prepares structural sub-assemblies and drawings.
· Prepares sketches for details.
· Reviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.
· Submits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.
· Liaison for assigned task.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements :

Knowledge and Skills:

· Drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer preferred.
· Must be able to provide complicated lay-outs and program design studies.
· Must be able to interact successfully with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments.
· Must be able to function as part of a design team.
· Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.

Education and Experience:

· Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree or 12 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.
· Plus 1 year related design experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve problems and think strategically.

Physical Demands:

This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
