Commodity Risk Management Analyst (m/f/d)

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

In this role you will support the Global Commodity Risk Management Liquid oils and Soft Commodity Team. You will be responsible for market analysis, position reporting, management of Unilever's exposure at a global level, and back up coverage for commodity related risk where needed. Studies, presentation preparation, and additional project work for the global team will also be required.

YOUR TASKS:

· Assist Global CRM Managers and the CRM Director to develop and execute hedging strategies across a range of commodity exposures
· Collect relevant data from internal and external sources, maintaining the appropriate databases. Programming experience is a clear advantage. Report relevant data at request e.g. weekly price updates, cover report calculations and S&D tables etc.
· Analyze and develop deep understanding of the commodity markets, including external economic factors which influence these markets
· As part of the team, contribute to the formulation of global risk management strategies
· Liaise closely with Procurement Managers (for relevant categories) to understand requirements (volume and strategy) and enhance flow of information from suppliers
· Collect market views and intelligence to disseminate, distribute and challenge with CRM within procurement

Collectively, the impact of this individual's responsibilities will be to help expand the breadth of the Global CRM Teams. Helping to quantify commodity exposures and then to have a keen grasp on the markets (both regional and global) that will assist in making impactful risk management decisions. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in delivering the key objectives of the Commodity Risk Management unit, which include strengthening market analysis and inflation mitigation for the business, and to protect the company's financial results in the most effective way.


WHAT YOU CONTRIBUTE:
· Bachelor's Degree required; MBA advantageous
· Min 3-5 years exposure to Agricultural Supply Chain / Procurement / Analysis / Trading
· Derivative experience required
· Excel / Power Point / Word advanced capability. Programming a clear plus.
· Keen interest in Commodities
· Highly numerate and analytical
· Clear demonstration of stakeholder management/communication and team commitment
· Clear demonstration of business results
