UX Designer Intern

Job description

As a UX Designer Intern , you will be part of the UX/UI team of Ubisoft Da Nang, working with UX/UI team of Ubisoft Singapore on a AAA cross-platform video game. You will work with UX Designers, UI Artists, Game Designers, Gameplay Programmer and Technical Artist to deliver new gameplay features and improve quality of existing UX of the game.

During the production, your job has an impact on a wide scope: Game feel, Game Design, UI art, playtest, …

Responsibilities:

·  Support UX Designers with:
·  Playing and analyzing the game to find flaws/ issues in UX design and propose solution for improvement.
·  Wireframes and User flow, Prototype for new gameplay features, as well as adding improvements for existing feature.
·  Writing a clear & comprehensive UX/UI design documentation for Gameplay Programmer to understand and implement the design correctly.
·  Presenting the design to the Core team to receive feedback/ get design validated.
·  Work with Game Designers to design the UX for the requested gameplay features.
·  Work closely with UI artists on your design wireframes and flow to ensure they can create UI mockup and UI assets as your design intention.
·  Work with Gameplay Programmer and Technical Artist to make sure the implementation follow the UX design.
·  Use your own experience as a gamer along with your knowledge of user-centered design to achieve both player and business goals of the game.
·  Basic experience in the field of UX and/or Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Psychology or Ergonomics,… (either as an academic discipline or work/project-based experience) equivalent and have less than 1 year of experience (excluding internships)
·  Knowledge about user-centered design and user behavior
·  Understanding of rapid prototyping and iterative processes
·  Passion for video games
·  Intermediate level in English, both verbally and written
·  Proficiency in prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar)

Nice to have:

·  Familiar in at least of 1 visual design tool (Photoshop, Illustrator or similar)

·  Duration: 6 months
·  Supervised by: Lead UI/UX designer
