At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won't find anywhere else. We are looking for a Junior Structural Engineer (M/F) who can join our multicultural team in Paris


Job description

Design and specify a part of equipment (permanent and temporary) required for the execution of a subsea project, in compliance with customer / discipline constraints (pipeline, installation) / cost and time.

Main activities
·  Understand the specifications
·  Incorporate constraints of other disciplines
·  Propose a design
·  Check the resistance of the equipment through calculations
·  Act as an interface with the project team for your package.
·  Write the technical documentation
·  Reply to customers' feedback
Secondary activities:
·  Specify and requisition the equipment under the supply support.
·  Analyze suppliers' bids
·  Support procurement and inspection departments during the purchase / manufacturing phase of equipment.
·  In addition, the successful candidate may be asked to intervene on the following projects:
·  Work on one single larger project, or several smaller projects.
·  Travelling to work at one of our High Value Engineering Centers providing training and guidance to young engineers internationally.
·  Following fabrication progress on site with suppliers, requiring some business trips.
You are meant for this job if you are/have:
·  Engineering / university degree, primarily in the domain: mechanical, structural, marine engineering or applied naval architecture
·  Fluent in English
·  Knowledge of IT and desktop tools and finite element software (ABAQUS, ANSYS)
Nice to have:
·  Internship in the field of Civil or Mechanical Engineering relating to mechanical structures.
·  Preferred Industrial experience in aeronautic, automobile or nuclear domain
