About

La mission de Colonies est de créer l’expérience de logement de demain.

L’offre locative actuelle, qui n’a pas évolué depuis des décennies, est largement inadaptée au nouveaux modes de vie et aux évolutions tant professionnelles que personnelles. Le logement est aujourd’hui vécu comme un problème, une contrainte alors qu’il devrait être l’un des principaux vecteurs de bonheur. Et paradoxalement, alors que la densification des métropoles s’accélère, de nombreux habitants s’y sentent de plus en plus isolés.

Pour Colonies, le logement doit être en mesure d’accompagner les mutations des modes de vie et devenir un véritable facteur d’épanouissement individuel et collectif.

L'offre de Colonies repose sur 3 piliers : les espaces, les services et la communauté.

Ces solutions de logement sont construites autour d’un espace privatif (studio), de « Homes » qui reproduisent le principe d’une maison, et de super-communs qui étendent les possibilités.
Cette approche associe simplicité et flexibilité (réservation en ligne, formules tout inclus, etc.). Pendant leur séjour, de quelques semaines à plusieurs mois, les clients de Colonies peuvent accéder à des services qui facilitent leur quotidien et leur permettent de consacrer leur temps à ce qui compte vraiment pour eux.
Enfin les résidences Colonies sont pensées de manière à faciliter les rencontres et les échanges (community management et mise à disposition d’espaces uniques) – sans jamais les imposer.

Capitalisant sur plusieurs expériences réussies, Colonies accélère désormais sa croissance en renforçant son équipe développement.

Colonies a réalisé une levée de fonds de série A auprès d’investisseurs de renom, (Idinvest, Global Founders Capital, Xavier Niel, Financière Saint James, Thibaud Elzière) avec pour ambition de devenir le leader européen du Coliving.

Job Description

Created in Paris in 2017, Colonies designs and operates housing buildings located in large cities.
Our places are fully furnished and equipped, mixing private studios for intimacy and common spaces for sharing. Our offer is all-included to make sure our tenants can focus on what really matters to them. Moving to a new place can be challenging and intimidating: this is why we foster community through regular events and activities.
After raising a €11 million financing round with investors such as Idinvest Partners, Global Founders Capital, Kima Ventures and Financière Saint James, Colonies is accelerating its growth and will start launching developments and operations across Continental European markets with a focus on Germany, Benelux and Switzerland.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for 1 or more french, german and englishspeaking Architects with 1-2 years experience, with Interior design experience and interest.
You will work on Paneuropean projects based in our Paris office. You would be part of the fast growing Architecture & Design team of 10+ people, and the wider Colonies team (30+ people).

What would we like you to do at Colonies?
Take part of changing the way we live making each space we create HOMY and participating in making the living experience at Colonies extremely simple and hassle-free
You will work with the Architect & the business development team to evaluate quick feasibilities of projects by applying the Colonies Concept
You will develop small scale projects of houses in Europe (concept to opening in fast turnover)
You will be part of designing many large scale project developments of 200+ keys
Designing our supercool supercommon spaces specifically for each project as well as prototyping them
You will work cross-functionally with the Project Management team and Operations gathering and sharing data information from the projects that open
You will be working with procurement and liaising with suppliers
You will be supporting in producing prototype packages and guidelines for the development into each local market in EMEA

What type of background do we imagine that you have?
You have 1-2 year of experience in an international company dealing with high efficiency architectural computer aided designs.
CAD, Revit, 3d SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop and PowerPoint or Google Slides, InDesign, are one of your strengths. If you are comfortable using Slack, Trello, Github, Notion that is a plus.
You have an independent working attitude and a strong hands-on mentality
You are willing to be building relationships with our cross functional highly energetic teams of 30+ people
You are fluent in written and spoken English, French & German. Our business language is english, however we need you to have the language skills to support on our two rapid growth markets: France & Germany.
