We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC / Qatar for a:

QC Inspector – Blasting & Painting

Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity and should manage all preparatory and coating work carried out at the contractors or Sub Contractors premises which shall be subject to planned inspection.

Your main duties will be to: -

Carry out systematic inspection at each stage of surface preparation, painting/wrapping and repair works.
Verify the complete implementation of the approved |Quality Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) at different stages of painting process.
Verify the implementation of the proposed inspection system for all preparatory, painting and wrapping work via a series of Hold Points in the work schedule, from which the contractor shall not proceed until he is given formal clearance by the QP Engineer.
Ideally all defective or non-conforming work at each stage shall be rectified to the required QP standard.
Witness all contractors' painters and blasters qualifications carried out by paint manufacturer and evaluate their associated testing results.
Report daily to QA/QC coordinator/Engineer and advise him on the QA's main contractor compliance procedure and standards and any matters affecting quality.


Ideally you will have high technical school or equivalent, painting/coating certification from a recognize organization such as NACE, B Gas etc. B Gas Grade l or NACE Level l painting / coating is a must.
Minimum 10 (ten) years of experience in the oil and gas downstream industry with an international consultancy company, Third Party inspection/certification company, EPIC contractor or end user in major projects implementation is essential.

You are fluent in English language and good computer knowledge.
