Job description

Responsibilities

·  Create analysis tools improve the cohesion between voice and electronic desk
·  Perform data analysis on trace, Euroclear and broker platforms
·  Propose new statistical methods and Machine Learning algorithm to describe, sum-up and understand prices behaviours
·  Improve existing code dedicated to analytic tools
·  Understand the global structure of the voice and electronic market making desk
·  Understand the different risks and challenges facing by the desk
·  Create tools to improve and systematize manual daily tasks
·  Performing liquidity analysis of the bond scope (traded volume, bonds turnover, Performance, …)
·  Performing trade analysis to quickly identify opportunities and trading issues
·  Working on the universe of products inside the scope (cash credit bonds, treasuries, credit ETF)
·  Responsible for python analysis code base: identify potential code issues, propose correction/improvement and implement optimal solution
·  Manage data lake of Terabyte composed of trading data, automaton data, market data, …
·  Follow-up with other development done by other teams or other regions

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Your profile

Graduate with a Master degree in quantitative field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science.

Good knowledge of time series analysis, statistics and popular Machine Learning algorithms

Knowledge of interest rates financial products (Bonds, ETF)

You are proficient in Excel, Python (or Shell, PowerShell, DOS)
You are fluent in English

Knowledge of one of each (C#, C++, java) is a plus

The US credit desk focuses on the Market Making of credit bonds products. The trading is mainly voice but an electronic platform was recently added. The purpose of this platform is to purely automate the market making, from pricing to clients to hedging the products and managing the inventory.
