ASCO Power Technologies, an industry leader in the manufacturing of Automatic Transfer Switches, Industrial Control Products, Load Banks, Power Control Systems, Services and Solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for an Application Engineer based out of Florham Park, NJ.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Quality Engineer plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining the Quality Management Business System, methods, procedures and processes to improve product quality, suppliers' performance and customer satisfaction in adherence with the Corporate Quality Manual for all ASCO Facilities. Review and analyze data from various databases to confirm product continues to meet industry and customer standards. Develops methods for capturing and reporting global metrics. Investigates, compiles and reports on any customer investigations or trends found from analyzing data.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Maintains the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System for FP, supports all other facilities and implements any updates to later versions.
· Perform scheduled Compliance and Leadership Quality Audits and provide Process Improvement Recommendations as a result of these audits.
· Handle Admin requirements for Quality Business systems, including but not limited to Trackwise, Product Tracker, Sales Force and customer directed Quality systems.
· Provide Quality support for Offer Creation process.
· Compile, analyze and distribute a monthly Warranty Report
· I2P (Issue to Prevention) Champion in bFO (Bridge Front Office, Sales Force)
· Provide analytical analysis for customer complaints and complete the fault tree analysis to evaluate safety concerns

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs analysis to develop or modify and improve existing processes. Customer requirements or corporate direction may influence these decisions. Makes recommendations on the most effective course of action to be taken, develops a plan based on these decisions and has the ability to present the same in a professional manner.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:




Two years' experience in the field of Quality Engineering.

Familiar with agency approval process (UL, CSA, IEC, etc.).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

·  BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Quality).
·  Experience in Statistical Analysis & Root Cause Failure Analysis Techniques.
·  Experienced with & knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Auditing, Process Mapping, Supplier Controls, etc.

COMPETENCIES :

·  Must have good verbal communication and writing skills
·  Must be detailed oriented
·  Must be analytical and competent in identifying process trends

COMPUTER SKILLS :

·  Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge in all Microsoft Applications
·  Must have the ability to learn and use all ASCO/Schneider Business Computer Systems.
