Job Profile

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a graduate software engineer to join an R&D team developing the next generation of high-performance systems for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT)

The successful candidate will join an established team of highly capable embedded software engineers. You will be able to develop your software design skills, working in a small Agile team with experienced engineers to support you.

On joining the team you will enter an extensive onboarding program giving you visibility of all aspects of the department. Short term secondments to other departments will give you valuable insight into the requirements of our key stakeholders. Any gaps in your knowledge will be filled via mentoring, eLearning or classroom courses. Within the first six months you will have the knowledge and skills to contribute to the team.

Industrial Automation products are used in some of the worlds most demanding applications. A focus on high quality, high availability, maintainable software is essential to meeting our customer's expectations.

The role will provide opportunities to work with engineers from different countries and cultures. This may involve travel to Schneider sites in Europe and the USA to attend workshops with members of the global R&D team.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering, or similar related subject.

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Embedded Real Time Software

• C/C++

• Object Oriented Design

Demonstration of any of the following would be advantageous;

• Experience of ARM Cortex processors

• Real Time Operating Systems

• Industrial Communications Protocols
