Job description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all site wide equipment in order to maintain a quality Class A environment in GMP and non GMP facilities at the Swiftwater site.
This position reports to and supports the area team Maintenance Manager or Deputy Director who is ultimately responsible for the efficient, effective, and reliable operation of all equipment in their area.
The Maintenance Technician will have interactions with all levels of the organization including HSE, Industrial Operations, Engineering, contractors, R&D, Mtech, and various other support groups.
The Maintenance Technician has the ability to influence and impact the Technical Services maintenance and contractor spending budgets with the recommendations and decisions that are made to repair and/or replace faulty equipment.
The Maintenance Technician also has the ability to influence and impact the productivity and efficiency of manufacturing operations and other site support functions with the recommendations and decisions that are made to repair and/or replace equipment or facilities.
The work performed by the Maintenance Technician and documentation of this work has a direct impact on the manufacturing operations and quality results of the site.
Poliovirus Essential Facility Requirements : The Sanofi Pasteur Inc. (“Sanofi Pasteur” or the “Company”) Swiftwater site is a designated poliovirus-essential facility (PEF) and, as such, complies with the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Action Plan to minimize poliovirus facility-associated risk (GAPIII) requirements. As such, this offer in PEF operations is contingent upon your successful completion of a drug screening and background check prior to your first day in your new position. Please contact our third party vendor at 570-957-4686 and they will inform you of the procedure for completing the drug screening process. You will receive an email notification for completing the on-line background check questionnaire and Release Authorization. Satisfactory results from the drug screening and background check must be received by Human Resources prior to your first day in you new position.
Additionally, in accepting this position and by signing below, you agree and acknowledge your obligations to participate in (a) recurring background checks and (b) random drug and alcohol testing while in this PEF position -- as expressly required for compliance with the GAPIII requirements applicable to PEFs. You will be notified of random drug and alcohol testing on the day such test is scheduled – please note that if you are not available at the assigned testing time due to a work-related commitment, you must notify Occupational Health immediately to make alternative arrangements.
Education/experience
Education/experience
· High school diploma or GED and 7+ years Maintenance experience, and working knowledge of industrial and/or process equipment.
· Associate degree in a specific trade program
Preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial and process equipment including but not limited to the following:
Air Handling Unit Operations
Tensioning of belts and alignment
Bearing replacement
Knowledge of VFD’s, VAV’s,
Knowledge of steam principals
JCI Metasys Systems
Electronics
PLC’s and chart recorders
Clean rooms and air balancing
Pump repairs, rebuilds, replacement
Motor replacement and alignment
Schematics and the ability to read blueprints
Electricity including single phase and 3 phase 480V
Refrigerators, freezers, and incubators
Boilers, Chilled water systems, cooling towers
Replacement of valves and piping system repairs
Knowledge of SAP
Requirements
Must be in the Medical Surveillance Program
Participate in FBI Clearances
Be able to pass and maintain N95 and Full-Face Respirators Certification
