In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

Working as part of the growing Aftermarket Engineering team and providing technical

project management, technical support and work package collaboration to deliver

engineering projects in the field of Product Support.

Key responsibilities:

Plan and execute product improvement projects that enhance customer satisfaction and business margins.

 Manage stakeholders from multiple Engineering and non-Engineering disciplines to enable successful project delivery

 Manage change effectively during the project delivery phase to ensure that the business case is maintained

 Be confident with project management methods and tools and provide regular updates on progress and support needed to the Engineering management.

 Analyse and prioritise data and actions according to business needs

 Contribute to the preparation of proposals for new business opportunities

 Perform peer reviews of data, analysis and reports for other team members.

 Ensure product development is compliant to aircraft certification requirements utilising the expertise of the team

 Provide ‘on-wing' support to airline customers when necessary

 Initiate activities in order to develop and maintain strong working relationships - with Airline Customers and with internal stakeholders

Support and participate in the investigation and root-cause analysis of in service

failures in line with the 8D problem solving process

 Plan and manage testing to validate redesigns and the implementation of solutions in service.

 Support lessons learned activities

 Coordinate with Technical Publications team to update documents such as CMM, SIL and SB

Have industrial experience in product development,

production engineering or research & development field

within engineering - Essential

Have experience of project management, methods and

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to

communicate effectively orally and in writing using the

English language including verbal, and written

Be qualified with an accredited Degree or equivalent

level in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science

Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical

engineering or Materials Science field - Essential

Have knowledge in the design of software, electrical and

electronic systems or Composite, plastic, and additive

manufactured components. Has academic and hands on

experience of product/process/materials development

within their respective field - Essential

Demonstrate strong communication skills including

verbal, written and formal presentations - Essential

Have strong analytical and problem solving skills with a

pragmatic hands on approach, including the use of

appropriate data handling software - Essential

Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g.

Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Access) Essential

Full UK driving license and valid passport essential as

international travel may be required - Essential
