Job Description

What will I be doing?

The Production Supervisor role within the MLG Production team is a pivotal one, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on continuous improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise the day-to-day operations of the production team while fostering an environment conducive to achieving core objectives in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality, Cost, and Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· 
You will oversee the alignment of production requirements on a daily basis, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. While supervising, you will also focus on developing the team's capabilities to meet the established objectives.

· 
Your role will involve further developing processes within the production areas to support continuous improvement initiatives. This includes managing non-conformances, supporting industrialization through APQP & PPAP processes, and implementing production and assembly process improvements through QRQC deployment.

· 
You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments using tools like Mango and driving continuous improvement projects. Additionally, you will lead the implementation of employee-driven improvements to enhance overall performance.

· 
A background in machining/engineering, particularly in machine shop operations, is essential for this role. You should be adept at reading technical drawings and possess a thorough understanding of assembly, machining, processing, quality, and SAP systems.

· 
You must be customer-focused and capable of working effectively to ensure that production operations meet customer expectations.

Job Requirements

What do you need from me?

· 
Strong expertise in machine shop operations and a comprehensive understanding of machining processes.

· 
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and familiarity with assembly, machining, processing, quality, and SAP systems.

· 
Although prior team leader experience is not mandatory, the ability to lead, mentor, and solve problems within a team setting is essential.

· 
Continuous Improvement Mindset: A commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation within the production team.

· 
Willingness to work shifts and adapt to changing business needs.

While an NVQ or apprenticeship in a relevant field would be advantageous, it is not essential. Practical experience and technical expertise will be prioritized.
