Roquette America’s manufacturing facility in Keokuk, Iowa is an expansive continuous processing corn wet-milling facility that proudly produces corn-based starches, syrups and polyols used in many food and beverage applications as well as in pharmaceuticals, paper products, cosmetics and agricultural goods.

Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic/Pipefitting Technician

·  Successful applicants must possess mechanical aptitude and be motivated to find, repair and prevent mechanical problems in a demanding performance/results oriented environment. 
·  Areas of experience should include but not limited to liquid pumps (single/multi-stage centrifugal/positive displacement), air fans, vacuum systems, mechanical/pneumatic conveying systems, reducers and gear drives, high-speed rotary equipment, steam generation systems, and packaging equipment. 
·  The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience and pass the NCCER passing score.

Essential functions for these positions include, but are not limited to, the ability to perform the following:

·  Positive attitude, self-directed and willing to be challenged
·  Practices behavior based safety and owns the safety culture
·  The skill set to use tools of the craft – welder, torque wrench, precision measurement equipment etc.
·  Work a rotating swing shift in a continuous 7-by-24 production environment
·  Climb stairs and ladders; lift, pull & push weights 50 lbs or more and 100 lbs with assistance
·  Work in temperatures of 100 degrees in some areas with at least 95% humidity
·  Read, interpret & perform instructions; use judgment and deductive reasoning; analyze computer generated inputs and outputs; interpret charts, gauges, dials, digital LCD readouts, etc.
