Responsibilities:

· 
Work with customers and architects to implement API platform to solve business challenges.

· 
Lead and oversee ideation, requirements gathering and design phases of the development lifecycle.

· 
Play consultant role to delivery teams during development, testing, deployment, transition, and support phases.

· 
Mentor and coach other data & integration team members to help grow API and microservices knowledge within the organization.

· 
Provide leadership and technical expertise to the US commercial, medical and government affairs teams within US IX.

· 
Work with business partners to co-create the organization's technology roadmap.

· 
On behalf of a global biotechnology company, analyze business needs and develop comprehensive Enterprise Technical Architecture (ETA) to support major business activities.

· 
Partner with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop strategies to meetarchitecture/technologyneeds and improve organizational performance, and present recommendations to stakeholders.

· 
Research new and emerging technologies, processes, methodologies and practices, and evaluate the potential value of technology for use within an organization.

· 
Analyze enterprise trends, business goals, and economic viability, and define principles to guide technology decisions for the API and Microservice architecture for the assigned business area.

· 
Provide consultation to technical onsite and offshore as needed to complete deliverables, and to ensure ETA compliance.

· 
Evangelize the API led, pub-sub approach and ensure re-usability across various projects.

· 
Own the catalog of all API's, Interfaces and jobs in the Integration space and ensure a high level of re-usability.

Qualifications and Experience:

· 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.

· 
12+ years of relevant IT work experience.

· 
A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience architecting and delivering solutions related to enterprise integration, APIs, service-oriented architecture, and technology modernizations.

· 
5+ years of experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure & GCP.

· 
Solid understanding of NoSQL database modeling and design.

· 
5+ years of software development experience.

· 
Occasional speaker at conferences on either technology or leadership.

· 
Experience in designing API based architectures in platforms like Mulesoft.

· 
A minimum of 3-year hands-on experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (on-premise or CloudHub, but prefer exposure to both).

· 
Knowledge and understanding of Application and Software Design Patterns.

· 
Experience building REST and SOAP web services using Java.

· 
Deep understanding of microservices-based architectures.

· 
Good DevOps expertise.

· 
Architect not only the long-term state but also the path to get there, accounting for near-term product deliverables, technical debt, and the maturity and likely evolution of relevant technologies.

· 
Experience with Salesforce - Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Platform, Communities, etc.
