Currently, we are looking for a postdoctoral scientist talent with expertise in development of image analysis and machine learning methods supporting our global Personalized Healthcare (PHC) initiatives in the Ophthalmology area. Join us in creating the future of research for patients with information technology solutions at the forefront of innovation!

As part of our team, your main tasks and responsibilities are summarized as follows:

·  You will be a key contributor to our strategic initiative on extracting information from images to address key scientific questions around personalized prevention and personalized intervention
·  You will contribute to the advancement of our state-of-the-art image analysis algorithms and platforms by driving and contributing to local and global PHC programmes
·  You will establish and nurture effective partnerships with a wide range of scientists, clinicians and internal IT specialists to develop novel algorithms and rigorously assess their performance and robustness using our rich data pool
·  You will present at topical conferences and publish in relevant scientific journals

You are a self-driven scientist with a recent PhD graduation in computer vision, machine learning and/or medical imaging with a strong background in applied Mathematics and Statistics.

·  You have in-depth experience in feature engineering, model validation, and integration in end-to-end predictive modelling pipelines.
·  You have good experience with Deep Learning applied to image classification and/or image segmentation.
·  You have strong programming skills in Python and R as well as experience in developing well-structured and documented code using open source and commercial software solutions in Linux/UNIX environments.
·  Your profile is rounded off by having very good presentation and communication skills in English and the ability to provide high quality reporting of achieved results in the form of presentations and scientific publications
