Job description

Digital Audit non-PQ graduate programme

Do you want to learn about technology and how to apply it to our business world? Digital Audit will give you the right blend of technology expertise with a real understanding of how technology relates to business. Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that will broaden and deepen your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, whilst acquiring business, personal, and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

What we do

Digital Audit is a specialist team within our Audit practice that combines a mix of technology, data, business and accounting expertise to how we audit clients across all industries. We’re constantly investing in audit technology and the skills of our people to keep up with the rapid pace of change and to deliver trust that is deeper, broader, and more forward-looking.

There are 2 sides to Digital Audit :

Auditing Digital : You’ll be Auditing our client’s technology to give them assurance that security and controls are in place. This includes infrastructure, Cloud, and applications. You’ll gain an understanding of end-to-end processes and how business applications are utilised, controlled, and optimised.

Digital Auditing : You’ll be using our latest tools to help digitise the way we deliver audits through automation, AI, data analytics and innovation. As well as using PwC developed tools and industry leading software to audit our clients.

You'll develop a strong understanding of the role that digital plays in the modern day audit and how new technologies are deployed and controlled within business. In practice, you'll understand and test IT systems and controls, deliver technology enabled audits, including the latest on advanced analytics, process control and automation and the use of innovative tools.

What you’ll do

Our Digital Audit programme will give you a unique opportunity to focus on the technology aspect of the Audit. You’ll develop a strong understanding of the role that digital plays in the modern day audit and how new technologies are deployed and controlled within business. As a Digital Audit technology graduate, you’ill develop deep technology and data skills through a structured training programme. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, industries and technologies. You'll be hands-on straight away, working at client sites or virtually from one of our PwC offices. You’ll need to be a people person, tenacious and resilient. You’ll have exposure to contacts such as financial controllers, heads of IT or finance directors to understand and test IT systems and controls. You’ll be checking IT systems to ensure they’re appropriately controlled by management and to check that data produced is accurate, highlighting and questioning any differences. It's investigative work where you’ll regularly speak with clients, using in-person meetings or leading-edge collaborative technology. You’ll be part of a variety of teams, taking real responsibility for the work you do, working at client sites or virtually from one of our PwC offices.

Above all, your work is client focused, which can mean travelling to client sites and will involve working to deadlines. This often requires working longer hours to meet the needs of the client. It’s hard work but rewarding.

What you’ll gain

You’ll follow a structured technical training curriculum which will allow you to develop the deeper technical and data skills required as a technology auditor. What you get out of it is the opportunity to build the skills and experience that can open many doors to you, taking your career in whatever direction you choose.

This programme does not offer the ACA qualification.
