Finance Business Partner (Retail)           

Purpose of role
The Finance Business Partner (Retail) is a high-profile, highly strategic role that will be key in shaping Primark’s continued global expansion within the Retail space. As Finance Business Partner for Retail, you will act as an invaluable guide to your partners, exploring the financial impact of new global initiatives, efficiency measures and growth strategies. This role will partner closely with stakeholders in both Finance and across the business in strategic planning and strategy execution. It will be instrumental in helping stakeholders to understand their financial performance by providing effective performance reporting and forward-thinking analysis, while supporting and challenging in equal measure. This role joins an established team of business partners and will work closely with the Head of Finance Business Partnering.

Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
·  Partner with the FP&A & Financial Reporting teams to ensure results are accurately reported and variances are clearly understood
·  Business partner the retail leadership teams ensuring opportunities are maximised and risks mitigated – maintaining a high level of challenge and robustness where appropriate  
Driving Insights & Analytics
·  The retail business partner should be at the forefront of driving better insights, leveraging BI technology to better support the business
·  Develop new and exciting ways of analysing data
·  Presenting insights & findings in a user-friendly format
·  Lead comprehensive analyses on financial results  
Budgets & Forecasts
·  Ensuring that budgets and forecast submissions from the business have been adequately reviewed and challenged
·  Drive change in Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting by challenging and reviewing cost centre reporting, budgets, forecasts & use relevant analytics to provide decision support and direction for planning activities or projects Team Leadership
·  Lead and coach at least two direct reports, managing their development & career progression plans
·  Lead by example by developing trusting and collaborative relationships with stakeholders  
Essential knowledge, education, skills and experience:
·  6+ years’ experience working in a strategic or finance, commercially focused role - retail experience a distinct advantage
·  Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders strategically within a commercial context
·  Significant experience reporting and presenting to senior management teams
·  Track record of successful business partnering with a senior-level client base
·  Ability to demonstrate sound commercial and operational judgement with the skills to effectively communicate
·  Advanced PowerPoint & excel skills required
·  BI, Tableau & Teradata experience an advantage
