Sales & Use Tax Analyst

about the role

The Sales and Use Tax Analyst is primarily responsible for coordinating the filing of Sales, Use and Telecommunications Tax returns prepared for the company by a third party outsourcing company.

Additional areas of responsibility include:

·  Maintenance of all necessary tax exemption certificates from customers, and preparation of all required tax exemption certificates for suppliers
·  Assist in tax audits through direct involvement in the audit process
·  Support on determination of proper taxation of products and services sold to customers
·  Review of company records and accounts to determine required payments of Use tax
·  Preparation and filing of all business licenses as required by the various tax authorities in the US
·  Answer inquiries from tax authorities, vendors and customers
·  Tax research on various issues as they arise
·  Support on preparation of GL account reconciliation analyses for US sales tax accounts

about you

·  Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
·  Certified Public Accountant preferred
·  Minimum three years of Public Accounting  / corporate tax experience
·  Experience in US sales, use, and telecommunications taxes
·  Industry experience preferred
·  Excellent skills with Excel
·  Advanced skills with Oracle
·  Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
