Job description
about the role
You will contribute in continuous service improvement initiatives in line with digital transformation projects for IT service operations
You will wear your second hat of Systems Admin and identify potential wins in automating manual system admin routines and tasks
You will also be involved in supporting systems and manage equipment/software by performing required configuration, installation, maintenance tasks for large and complex infrastructure
You will create Dashboards for Capacity Management and automated Infrastructure checks
You will participate in maintaining relevant technical documentation and devise operating procedures and train people on DevOps tools
about you
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible,Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Experience with Virtualization technologies like VMware
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware, operating systems, storage, backup hardware and associated network equipment
Strong understanding of server virtualization infrastructure concepts and tools
Troubleshooting skills on physical and virtualized equipment
