IBM SAN Engineer
Job Title: Storage Area Network (IBM SAN) Engineer
Job Location: Bangalore
Roles & Responsibilities:
Handling IBM SVC , Storwize V7000 L1/L2 operations
Qualification, Skills & Experience:
Total years of experience of close to 6 years on IBM SAN and SVC infrastructure
5+ Years prior experience in IBM SAN Storwize 7000 / SVC.
Knowledge of Fibre Channel configurations in storage hardware (HBAs), fibre channel switches, including multi-path configuration
Experience of managing fiber channel SAN switches like Brocade and Cisco storage switches
Thoroughly familiar with current Quality & GxP IT compliance requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to communicate and build relationships with technical team
ITIL expert
Willingness to work in shifts
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge/practical application of agile methods.
HDS, IBM or other storage training/certification is a plus.
Knowledge of Cloud Storage solutions is a plus
Experience supporting Hyper converged infrastructure (HCI)
Linux / AIX administration - ability to write scripts and automate tasks.
Windows Server admin basic knowledge
VMware/Hyper-V
Failover/HA/Disaster Recovery
ITIL certification
Ticketing tools : Service Now and Jira
