A Maintenance Technician…

Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs on all assigned equipment, to include basic hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drive systems at the component level (e.g., packaging, conveying, processing or facilities equipment, etc...). Conduct Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and support Operations with setting up equipment and changeover. Troubleshoot and repair equipment. Secondary tasks may include the repair or replacement of failed components, the ability to troubleshoot unknown equipment issues and make centerline adjustments to assigned equipment.

Document Work Orders (WOs) and PMs using the computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for Plant maintenance functions. There may also be an occasional need for some fabrication and/or machinist work; trained as required.

Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Teams, train operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AMs) activities and participate in Breakdown Analysis/Elimination efforts.

We have several openings for Maintenance Technicians at our Mars Wrigley Confectionery (MWC) site in Flowery Branch, GA (45 min north of Atlanta) on both Night and Afternoon shifts, for both 8-hr and 12-hr continental shifts; there may also be positions at other MWC sites in Georgia, Kansas, Illinois, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas.

Job Accountabilities:

· 
·  Adheres to Maintenance and Repair costs
·  Follow Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
·  Complete PMs for assigned equipment
·  Breakdown Analysis / Elimination
·  Expected to achieve high level of competency on assigned equipment
·  Assists Operations with Anomaly Handling
·  Participate in Peer-to-Peer and Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings with Operations

Skills Required:

Minimum:

·  High School Diploma or Equivalent
·  2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in manufacturing environment
·  Basic Computer skills required (e.g., Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and Powerpoint
·  Capable of operating assigned equipment, once trained

Preferred:

·  Associate or Technical degree
·  Possess fundamental understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical schematics/drawings
·  Work in confined spaces, as required, and adhere to regulations and policies
·  Perform “Hot Work” as necessary to include grinding; trained as required
·  Successfully complete basic First Aid and CPR
·  Understand TPM Theory and Concepts
·  Understand/adhere to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Working From Heights and all other plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements

Physical requirements:

·  Frequent lifting / carrying (10-50 lbs.)
·  Frequent pushing / pulling *(50-300 lbs)
·  Frequent bending and stooping.
·  Frequent handling / gripping (parts, tools, etc.)
·  Requires Work Keys Certification & successful completion of Standard Timing Model Assessment
