Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Front Office for a Night Auditor to join our team! The role is a full time position of 40 hours a week.

To successfully fill this role, you will ideally possess and demonstrate the following qualifications, behaviours, skills and values:

·  Previous experience working within a Front Office or similar environment preferred
·  Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
·  Innovative
·  Pro-active and reliable
·  Able to work alone and within a team
·  Experience of a front desk system
·  Customer Focused

Education or Certification

· 
Good level of English essential

Duties and responsibilities:

·  To be responsible for the closing down and opening up of the hotel areas during the night. To ensure regular patrols of the building take place during the night and staff transportation co-ordinated and running smoothly
·  To supervise the operation of and the closing down of the bars and the service of food and beverages as required. To initiate correct charges for the above.
·  To ensure all end of day procedures are carried out.
·  To ensure team understand and adhere to service standards across all areas to maximise customer satisfaction and achieve consistency.
·  To keep abreast of and adhere to relevant legislation to ensure Hotel compliance, especially fire procedures and night evacuation, ensuring that legal requirements regarding training are met and that everyone on the night team is fully conversant with roles.
·  To liaise effectively with other Managers (Reception, Conference & Banqueting) to ensure the co-ordination of these areas and ensure full handover from Late Duty Manager and to Early Duty Manager.
·  To check cleanliness of all areas of the hotel and handover completed checklists to the early Housekeeper on duty.
·  To conduct monthly night departmental meetings

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

·  To be responsible for the night reception shift.
·  To comply with the Company Image Standards and wear your name badge.
·  To assist with guest queries, i.e. places of local interest, local travel facilities, theatres, restaurants etc.
·  To ensure that the back-up procedures are carried out at least twice nightly.
·  To ensure that the morning reports are printed and distributed.
·  To ensure that incoming faxes and messages are promptly delivered or passed onto guests.
·  Try to make yourself familiar with Hotel and Head Office and their functions.
·  Be aware of any security warnings concerning undesirable persons, either for financial or criminal reasons or being sought after by the police. Always be extra vigilant when dealing with dubious characters during the night.
·  To deal with guest requests, requirements and, if possible, complaints. This to be done promptly and efficiently..
·  To be able to make reservations for the Hotel as per the established procedure.
·  To ensure all computer files are checked nightly and increased or decreased accordingly.
·  Assist with checking-in/out guests.
·  To be aware of the special rates used at the Hotel, where to find the different categories and how to use them.
·  To have knowledge of night room service making and delivery process
·  To ensure that all monies are held in a proper manner, recorded and locked away in accordance with company standards.
