Are you looking for a career in merchandising? If so this a great entry level role where you will provide administrative support to the merchandising team, by analysing reports relating to sales, stock, commitment, intake, markdown and margin as directed by the Assistant Merchandiser / Merchandiser.In addition, you will be using key IT systems to ensure up to date and accurate information is entered daily, so great excel skills and an analytical mindset are a must.

Note this role is not in visual merchandising

What the role will involve

·  Running daily and weekly sales reports, distributing to team and aiding in analysis
·  Providing admin support to team, from data entry to raising and managing purchase orders, compiling and managing internal documentation (e.g. airfreight summaries), and pulling together information for other departments, e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain, Sourcing
·  Work with Assistant Merchandiser to interpret supply chain reports, and ensure suppliers have submitted relevant, up-to-date information to enable us to manage production and drive sales
·  Manage the reduction/increase of UK Selling prices for the garments, collate the charts to show what the new selling prices are, how much stock will be sold at the new selling prices & how much it will cost to reduce prices vs. the dept operating plan
·  Check suppliers have submitted up to date information in order that the team can manage the stock flow to drive sales
·  Updated the relevant systems to ensure our sales history, for each garment / range / dept level is correct so we can track our sales accurately this year verses the same time period last year

The person we’re looking for is:

·  Highly analytical, proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
·  Very organised
·  A good communicator who can initiate and build strong relationships with our suppliers and stores
·  Interested in all areas of fashion within clothing and home
·  Proactive and a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
·  Previous retail experience preferred
