Junior General Ledger Accountant

Job description

Kuehne + Nagel Turkey is looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven and motivated personality to support the accounting team in the high paced day-to-day activities for its Istanbul office.

Your Role

As a Junior General Ledger Accountant you will support the MEA Knowledge Center department in Istanbul, Turkey. Your main responsibility will be maintaining daily accounting tasks following internal guidelines and accounting principles with attention to details.

Your Responsibilities

·  Handle the payment process from approval until payment release phase. 
·  Abide by a standardized cost booking procedure across all Kuehne + Nagel's (KN) locations.
·  Ensure that the billing process are being applied in other KN locations'.
·  Book all petty cash requests as per KN regulations. 
·  Continually prepare and maintain an exchange rate report.
·  Maintain booking and allocation table across different countries. 
·  Support Bank Reconciliation and Capitalization.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Bachelor's degree within Business administration, specifically Financial studies. 
·  2 years of experience in basic accounting is a must. 
·  Experience in Analysis of Financial Statements  such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement is a must.
·  Proficient level of analytical skills and advance excel knowledge.
·  Ability to work independently, self-reliable mostly, but also ability to work together with others as part of a coordinated team.
·  Commercial minded and customer oriented.
·  Excellent communication skills and fluency in English is a must, Arabic language is highly preferred.
