Pantry Attendant

What this job involves:

Understanding the language of the kitchen

Together with manager, you will play the hero of the kitchen. You’ll ensure that our kitchens and equipment are clean, organised and well-maintained, and that our snack and drink stations are restocked. You will set up plates, napkins, silverware for meal services, and maintain the recycling stations.

It’s also your job to follow directions, bussing schedules and preparing lists that the management needs. You’ll be the champion of cleanliness and sanitation, so you should be able to dream up and carry out cleanliness and quality assurance programs.

Impressing the guests

You will set the tone of the entire experience that guests will get from their stay. Acting as ambassador, you should know what we stand for and have the knack to communicate this with guests. Your culinary know-how will also be put to good use, especially when guests ask food-related questions on ingredients, origins and the creative direction of dishes.

Competent and full of zest

You have at least five years’ experience in professional hospitality environment. Basic computer skills will also help you land the job. Likewise, you must have an unrelenting gusto for food, sanitation and relationships. Got barista experience? Great, that’ll be a plus!

Personable and flexible

Are you a friendly, upbeat and sincere person who puts genuine interest and energy in whatever you do? Engaging with guests on a personable level should be easy for you. You should also have an adaptable mindset that helps you respond to various challenges thrown at you.
