Key Responsibilities:

As a data engineer, you will

·  Guides the movement and structuring of data, development of ETL code, reviews metadata definitions and models, queries and reports, schedules, work processes and, maintenance procedures and proactively identifies opportunities to optimize the performance and efficiency of existing processes/procedures. 
·  Work independently on ETL and data design projects.  Helps less experienced analysts on proper standards/techniques to improve their accuracy and efficiency.
·  Responsible for QA and user acceptance of all developed code.
·  Works with data modelers and analysts and develops technical understanding of how the data flows from various source systems and source types to a modelled database solution in the data warehouse after series of transformations and data manipulations.
·  Understanding of data warehousing concepts including data vault
·  Support the daily ETL process across multiple countries to ensure that batch processes are successful and meet the SLAs for the execution and data delivery.
·  Able to work with remotely located resources, onshore and offshore, as member of the offshore EDW COE team working very closely with the global EDW team on a day to day basis and larger TDIM matrix organization located geographically across APAC, AM and EMEA regions.
·  Provide input to the technical solution to build re-usable and scalable ETL modules.

Qualifications:

·  Minimum 3-5 years of technical work experience in the fields of computer science, specifically with ETL and data integration.
·  Bachelor’s degree in Information Science.
·  1-2 years of direct Agile development experience.
·  Able to think logically, organize workflows efficiently, and solve problems independently.
·  Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
·  Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.

In order to achieve the key objectives of the role, you will need the following skills and experience

·  Strong experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS) (5 years) & IDQ skills with SQL server & Control M background.  Besides these skills, if the candidate has background on dealing with Python, handling unstructured data would be a plus.
·  Experience with data architecture, data integration/ETL, data warehousing, and/or business intelligence deployed in a complex environment.
·  Experience in working with databases especially SQL server databases.
·  Excellent technical, analytical and organizational skills. 
·  Snowflake experience a big plus but not required
·  Ability to learn new tools and methodologies in this space
