This role may from time to time also be required to assist in other activities within the department.The role requires a considerable physical stamina, self-discipline, and time management. A critical attention to detail is extremely important. The role is very hands-on, requiring a great deal of physical activity.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
• Cleaning and preparation of guest rooms in accordance with hotel quality standards, in a timely manner, using the I Clean “one and only way” system of cleaning. • Assisting as needed with guest requests.• Continuously seeks to impress our guests and exceed their expectation.• Commitment to perform at the best possible level• Mentoring and on-the-job training of new Housekeeping staff within the assigned unit, so as to assist in achieving and maintaining quality standards. • Reporting & monitoring maintenance issues in the bedrooms, corridors or wider hotel via HOTSOS. • Ensuring pantries are clean & tidy and to take responsibility for ensuring they are well stocked. • Participation in other departmental activities as necessary.• Personal responsibility & attention to detail through effective time management and organization of work. • Maintenance of impeccable personal grooming as representative worthy of the hotel.
ACCOUNTABILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
You will report to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper. • Good verbal English, good ability to read English.• Previous experience as Room Attendant in a 4/5 star property is desirable.
