About us

Crowne Plaza® is opening in Hobart! This is an exciting time to join this newly built full-service upscale hotel, with an expected opening date in Q1, 2020.

 

 

The hotel will comprise of 235 guest rooms with multiple restaurants, a gymnasium and 9 versatile meeting rooms.

 

 

The business mix will be varied with domestic & international leisure, Corporate & Government and MICE residential, day meetings and social events.

Your day to day

As Reservations Agent, you’ll be responsible for all reservations activities such as recording and processing inquiries made by phone, fax or email.  

You will work effectively and efficiently to convert inquiries to sales to meet hotel targets and provide exceptional service to guests.

You’ll work closely with your colleagues in Sales & Marketing and Crowne Meetings, as well as other departments such as Front Office, to ensure positive guest experiences.

 

What we need from you

·  Minimum 6-12 months Front Office / Reservations / Customer Service experience Hotel / hospitality experience advantageous but not essential
·  Higher education qualification in Hotel Administration or Sales / Management or other relevant field
·  Energy and passion – a high level of energy to keep you upbeat in a face paced environment
·  Excellent stakeholder management, ability to collaborate effectively with departments on groups and projects
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
·  Technical skills - proficiency with Opera or another PMS System, or ability to learn
·  Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workflow and workload individually and across the team
