In addition, the hotel has its own fitness centre, a club lounge and banquet and conference facilities
Your day to day
KEY FOCUS POINTS FOR THIS ROLE• Dividing tasks and giving instructions to housekeeping employees. Introducing new employees through practical instructions and monitor the work progress, work quality and the use of equipment.• Making a planning based on hotel occupancy and employee availability.• Ordering necessary cleaning products and guest supplies at the Purchase department.• Giving instructions, answering questions and solving problems of employees.• Providing and leading on-the-job trainings to the Housekeeping employees.• Keeping in contact with the Front Office employees to have a good internal communication.• Handling complaints, comments and questions of guests, providing information and services.• Providing information to guests in a correct and welcoming way, also in a different language.• Checking all rooms, public areas and public toilets by following a schedule and checklist.• Being aware of the Fire Life Safety and Safety Standards of your department and knowing how to use these.• Checking if all the lamps and equipment are working, signalizing defects and damages and anticipating on that by informing the Maintenance department.• Being up-to-date with all tasks and operations within the Housekeeping department, occupancy levels for the upcoming week, room statuses and administrative tasks.• Solving problems that occur.
What we need from you
YOU DISPLAY THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCES• English fluently verbal and in writing• Dutch is a big plus• Stress resistant• Attention of details• Able to set priorities• Good communicative skills• Hospitable• Hands on mentality Middle or higher level Hotel School or Hospitality Management.
