We have an opportunity for Global Resilience Analyst to join us. You will work under the direction of the Global Director of Resilience, ensure the ongoing implementation, coordination and embedding of IHG’s Global Crisis Management Program across IHG.

Your day to day

You will support the Global implementation and maintenance of IHG’s Crisis Management Program and approach in line with established global Crisis Management principles and business objectives. Ensure that these activities are designed to make and keep the business safe through adequate development, training, testing and maintenance of the crisis management program, ensuring mitigation against potential business disruptions.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

·  Analysing external markets, including public sector, competitors and international standards for best practice and benchmarking for business resilience and ensure IHG alignment
·  Conducting intelligence gathering and reporting on existing and emerging issues that have the potential to negatively impact specifically IHG business, interests and reputation
·  Providing regions/ functions with topical focus points for training on a monthly basis based on existing and emerging threats
·  Developing and delivering scenario-based crisis management training sessions
·  Maintenance of IHG’s Crisis Management Programmed including document review and incorporating ongoing feedback from the business
·  Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of the Global Crisis Management tools, materials and plans, especially at hotel level.
·  Working cross functionally with other team members in Global Resilience as needed on contingency planning advice for the business
What we need from you

Educational Attainment

·  Degree in international relations, hospitality, risk management or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
·  Post graduate level studies preferred but not required
·  ISO 22301 qualified (or in the process of qualification)

 

Critical Expertise & Experience

·  Up to 2 years recognised experience in either a hospitality related field or risk consulting (E.g. fraud, Human resources analytics and culture)
·  Up to 3 years recognised experience in similar role in a global environment.
·  Previous hospitality related risk management work experience preferable but not required.

 

Required Skills

·  Ability to communicate at all levels.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work through people to achieve results.
·  Ability to influence, collaborate and interact with multiple teams.
·  Excellent communication skills to interact in a multicultural global environment
·  Strong project management foundation with ability to prioritize.
·  Ability and willingness to travel to, and work at, various IHG locations if required.

Alternatively, many of our employees commute from London – there are regular trains from London Marylebone taking approx. 20 – 35 minutes, or the Metropolitan or Piccadilly tube lines go to Uxbridge where we provide a free shuttle bus.
