Your day to day

As an  FP&A Analyst – Greater China  in our finance team in Branston you will be responsible for delivering financial insight on regional IHG performance to FP&A and Finance business partners, to support them and the business in driving performance and value to IHG.You will also be responsible for:

·  Providing day to day financial management and analytics to support the respective Finance business partners and business stakeholders at regional level.
·  Performing decision support activities such as System size and pipeline budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, Corporate P&L from operations budgeting and forecasting to corporate performance and trading analysis and project analysis.
·  Producing standard and ad hoc reports including variance analysis and relevant, insightful and accurate commentary.
·  Conducting scenario analysis and modelling using data visualisation tools to support business decisions.
·  Providing ad-hoc reports and analysis, including scenario modelling to support decision making.
·  Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting the delivery of improvements in processes, systems and procedures.
·  Building strong relationships within the CoE and with the SSC and collaborating to deliver high quality outputs
·  Acting as an escalation point for audit queries.
What we need from you

The successful candidate will have strong academics, likely including a numerate degree, and be working towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA or equivalent). 

You will have gained experience in Finance, preferably as a Finance Analyst, including experience of operational planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, management reporting, scenario analysis and modelling. Ideally you have experience of multi-site or multi-revenue stream operations, preferably in the hospitality or leisure industry.

You must also have:

·  Understanding of trading metrics and key drivers which impact operations revenue and cost.
·  Strong systems skills including Excel, PowerPoint, with a preference for Oracle and Essbase
·  Ability to prioritise and to operate effectively in a fast moving, global environment with tight deadlines.
·  Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
·  Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
·  Critical thinking and ability to connect and explain linkage between drivers and outputs.
·  Preferably, exposure to the culture and ways of working in the supported region(s).

Supporting Greater China, you will be required to work 7am – 3pm
