VMWare System Engineer - L3 (Required Work at US Time Zone)

Job description

·  Hands-on experience on VMware products: VSphere from 4.0/5.0/5.1/5.5/6.0/6.5, VDP, VCD, VRA, VROPS, Log Insight,VMware NSX and VMware tools like p2V, V2V, esxtop, esxcl, vim-cmd, update manager, VCSA all versions
·  Design skills on customer virtual platforms for different environments like Hosted/Shared and cloud platforms.
·  Deep understanding on core architecture of Vmware and ability to help design/advise on design of VMware environments
·  Expertise in VMware product implementation and troubleshooting for all above mentioned platforms
·  Good understanding of networking, network virtualization implementation and trouble shooting
·  Experience with vSphere upgradations, patch management on different VMware products Experience with cloud platforms like vCloud director and vRealize automation (implementaion and trouble shooting)
·  Experience with VMware NSX implementation experience and integration with Vmware products
·  Linux experience, provisioning, trouble shooting etc.. (RHEL preferably)
·  Scripting knowledge on VMware products by using tools powercli or other third party tools
·  Exposure to VMware networking like vDS, standard switches migration, Policies, LACP, static binding, dynamic binding, migration from s-switch to VDS
·  Hands-on experience/expertise skills on data center migrations, cross vcenters
·  Ability to perform VMware core level trouble shooting in ESX servers and vcneter servers
·  Should have knowledge on all major Server H/W like Cisco UCS, Del, HP, IBM servers, HP chassis boxes
·  Able to support tier 3 production environment escalations for all VMware products
·  OVA/OVF/ISO/appliances installation, configuration etc
·  Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, QRADAR, IBM Tivoli etc...
·  Experience with Backups
·  Coordination with vendors for high level designing on VMware products as per customer requirements
·  Expertise in Block storage/Object storage/File storage
·  Hardware Storage like NETAPP, HP, Dell, Endurance, etc…
·  Fluent in English both verbal and written
·  Experienced with technical standards documentation (configuration, deployment, testing, maintenance, upgrades)
