Who you are:

In this role, you will be part of the highly innovative product support team in TXSeries and CICS Transaction Gateway products used by many Fortune 500 companies and government enterprises, that drive workloads directly impacting economy and financial systems in the world.

The role involves, being part of the team, which carries the responsibility of maintaining high level of customer satisfaction by resolving customer reported issues in the products. In this role you will interact with the customers, understand their problems, use cases, scenarios to help resolve problems. You will also collaborate across other IBM teams as needed with a focus on resolving client issues.

As you interact daily with the clients, you will have an opportunity to impact the design of the product and product quality by bringing in client use cases and needs into product development.

What you will do:

As a product engineer in the team your responsibilities include:
·  Level 2 support that involves debugging and provide resolution to technical issues reported against the product which is deployed on-premises or cloud platform.
·  Interact with customers and take a lead in resolving issues and escalations by collaborating across other IBM product teams if required.
·  Take ownership of debugging and resolving complex product issues to meet the SLAs defined for problem resolution.
·  Develop test cases and integrate into the regression test buckets of the product.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  2-5 years of experience in Advanced C programming like Inter-process communication, multi-threading, data structures on Linux or any Unix-like platforms
·  Familiarity with Java language and OOPs concept.
·  1+ years of experience in scripting languages like shell scripts, Python.
·  Familiarity with database concepts
·  Readiness to work in midshaft
·  Proven communication skills.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

·  Exhibited ownership, Quick learning and technical excellence in resolution of issues in the previous role
·  Knowledge in transaction processors (JEE or non-JEE servers).
·  Knowledge in z/OS is a plus.
·  COBOL knowledge is a value add.
