Finance Operations Analyst (1 year contract - maternity cover)

Job description

As a Finance Operations Analyst you are considered to be a trusted business advisor, working within the country's business units, as well as in a myriad of specialized corporate functions.
In this role you'll be responsible for the analysis of the IBM actuals, budget and business metrics and dynamics.
You'll also experience opportunities for skills development training and leadership development.

What you will do:
·  Plan and control of Revenue/Cost/Expense
·  Support closing activities, driving resolution of open items and discussions with accounting;
·  Support accounting closing by providing regular update on pending entries to country/region CFO as well as country sales leader
·  Supervise and ensure all financial transaction in the general ledger are correct and auditable
·  Act as an advisor to sales and operational units on accounting, financial and legal requirements
·  Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with corporate and country legislation and guidance
·  Income tax return preparation, tax advisory, planning, forecasting and reporting
·  Communication and submission for monthly VAT returns
·  B/S and P&L report analyzes
·  Transfer Pricing analysis
·  Interface with local tax authorities and government agencies on assessments, actively support tax audits and any relevant tax issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  University education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting;
·  Fluent level of English - written and spoken;
·  Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel (knowledge of Pivot tables/VLOOKUP is an advantage);
·  Basic knowledge in Double entry bookkeeping and understanding of connection between US GAAP & statutory books;
·  Good analytical skills, problem solving approach;
·  Focused & results orientated,
·  Works independently and a team player;
·  Curiosity and Growth mindset;
·  Attention to details.
