Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients' data into tangible business value by analysing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. You will have a unique opportunity to work with large data sets generated by FMCG and Retail businesses. You will work with Retail and Ops stakeholder's across our clients, procurement, selection, pricing and supply chain management to design and take to production robust scalable predictive models and analytical solutions utilizing cutting edge machine learning, neural networks, data mining and optimization techniques.
Work experience:
- More than 8 years of analytical experience on various positions
Expected skills:
- experience in Pricing analytics, Demand forecasting
- experience in doing extensive pricing study for different markets in CPG and Retail industries
- experience in business analysis and business solution design
- strong analytical skills with ability to use them for business cases
- experience in data preparation and designing of analytical repositories
- experience in building and testing machine learning models
- Demonstrable experience of taking Data Science/Machine Learning solutions to production in a commercial environment
- knowledge of cloud solution concepts and technology
- team working, well organized and target focus person
- Experience working with large data sets and distributed computing tools i.e. MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, TensorFlow etc

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· · BA/BS or MS in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or related STEM field
· Proficiency in Python, R, SQL or another programming language
· Experience or coursework in machine learning and/or natural language processing - i.e. linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, SVM, KNN, Random Forest, Gradient Boost etc
· Statistical modeling through software (e.g. SPSS) or programming language (e.g. Python)
· Understanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges in an enterprise environment
