Internal Audit Analyst

Job description

As a member of the Internal Audit team, the individual will be supporting auditors who perform financial, operational and compliance audit engagements across all regions where Hyatt operates. The individual will work with limited supervision from the Internal Audit Manager and will be expected to show initiative and use independent judgment. The individual will assist the internal audit team by coordinating with hotels to provide requested materials, preparing property analytics and pre-audit materials, and performing offsite control testing.

· Coordinate with hotels to communicate audit requirements and gather requested materials.

· Prepare pre-audit deck including financial statement analysis, reports according to agreed upon procedures, and adhoc analytics.

· Assist with identifying and communicating audit observations, analyzing evidence, documenting processes and procedures, and developing audit recommendations.

· Communicate the results of self-test work papers and offsite control testing to internal auditors and internal audit manager.

· Support internal auditors in performing onsite review, as needed.

· Represent Internal Audit with various organizational project teams (as needed).

· Develop and maintain productive relationships throughout the company through individual contacts and meetings.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

· 1-4 years full-time auditing, accounting, or business analysis experience required. Hotel accounting or external audit (Big Four) experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems preferred.

· Ability to communicate audit findings and areas of risk to various stakeholders.

· Excellent analytical ability to understand business processes and related risks and control.

· The position may require occasional travel to support internal auditor during onsite review.

· Proficiency in English is required. Any additional languages (Mandarin) would be an advantage.

· Experience with ACL and Tableau (or other analytics and data visualization tools) a plus.
