We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as IFRS17 Actuary - 9 month contract .

Principle responsibilities

·
Liaise and co-ordinate with third-party test teams to carry out testing, review findings and undertake remediation where necessary.

Assist in the development of a global test pack, to give confidence on the actuarial, accounting and technological capabilities of the Global Platform.

·
Assigning clear test cases and instructions to a pool of actuarial and technical testing analysts.

·
Monitor testing activities, producing MI reporting on test progress and level of confidence on Global Platform.

·
Escalating defects and proposing enhancements to the Global Platform to address any limitations found.

·
Ability to understand the design and architecture of HSBC's CSM Platform.

·
Organise and run IFRS17 workshops with different HSBC Entities.

·
Clearly describe the Global IFRS17 technical requirements for each Entity

·
Help entities to resolve issues as they upload the required actuarial and financial data to the Global Platform.

·
Collate questions about the IFRS17 results being produced, and work constructively with entities to remediate issues.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

Requirements
·  Qualified Actuary, FIA or equivalent
· 
Good understanding and ideally first hand experience of IFRS17 including an understanding of the mechanics of how the Contractual Services Margin works

· 
First hand experience of designing, executing and supporting test plans

· 
Ability to communicate information in a clear, confident and structured manner to all levels within the programme and to influence stakeholders, to establish and maintain co-operation.

· 
Good knowledge of insurance products, regulations and financial reporting

· 
Experience of interfacing with Audit and Regulators an advantage

· 
Ability to speak French, Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin would be an beneficial.
