Job Description:

   

As a Quality Lifecycle Engineer (QLE) you will work very closely with the HPE Storage product core teams supporting Big Data Storage solutions, driving product requirements that will help improve the product supportability, serviceability, usability, and quality. You will also monitor the install base and field issues that arise, driving improvements back into product development as well as ensuring current customer issues are sufficiently resolved to maintain required product quality levels and meet customer experience expectations.  

HPE's Total Customer Experience and Quality group (TCE and Quality) provides knowledge management and quality for HPE’s Hybrid IT Group (HIT). Our focus is on improving product and support quality while reducing warranty costs, ensuring leading customer experience and promoting customer loyalty. Quality Lifecycle Engineers drive improved quality through front end risk analysis, identifying and correcting issues before they are out of control, and defining design requirements to deliver desired customer and support experiences through participation in product core teams.

The job family spans across multiple engineering disciplines. Work consists of designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions for research and/or research development of product, services, and solutions for company’s portfolio. Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

·  Designs engineering solutions utilizing multiple engineering disciplines for products, systems, software, and solutions based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
·  Develops and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of mechanical, electrical, software, and other engineering specifications and requirements.
·  Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution
·  Leads a project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for moderately- complex products.
·  Represents the mechanical/thermal team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
·  Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
·  Requires 4 - 6 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Familiarity with HPE Apollo 4000 Storage Servers, Blue Data AI/ML Software
·  Strong knowledge of Software design and development, testing and bug identification
·  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
·  Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrix teams and resources.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
·  Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
·  Customer-Centric Focus - ensures that a positive Total Customer Experience drives work approach and champions a similar focus throughout the organization.   Make sure the product comply with our CSx policy (Customer Self Installable, Customer Self Upgrade, and Customer Self Repair). 

U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident (green card holder) is required.
